Meet Hannah

·

During the second instalment of our ‘meet the team’ series, we introduce you to Hannah – our co-founder and marketing & customer lead.

Tell us a bit about your background and how you came to create Sunday Made?

I studied Communications and Media at university, and then met Stacey through mutual friends a few years later while I was working in PR. We worked on various odd projects together, and eventually decided to create the company after noticing a gap in the market when trying to furnish our homes with well-designed, quality items. Our complimentary skill sets have allowed us to create Sunday Made and work to our different strengths.

What do you enjoy the most about the role?

This is the first time Stacey and I have worked for ourselves, and I’ve loved the freedom that we’ve had during the creation of Sunday Made. It’s been an interesting journey as we trial different things that work for the brand and our customers. I also enjoy being able to share customer’s Sunday Made pieces on our social media platforms – so many of our clients have such beautiful homes.

What is your favourite product from the Sunday Made collection?

It’s a small item, but I love the versatility of the Havana Tray. It can be used in every room of the house – from the bathroom to the bedroom, on the kitchen bench or on a desk. We have several dotted around our home, holding our precious items or keeping TV remotes in check.

What is the favourite part of your home?

Probably the nook where our dining table sits. Our entertaining area is quite small, meaning the dining table sits in the kitchen, next to the doors leading out to the garden. We recently purchased some replica Marcel Breuer chairs from Trademe which are so comfortable. I love nothing more than cooking in the kitchen with friends sitting so close, and during the warmer months it’s a great spot for morning coffee in the sun.

What’s coming up in 2019 for Sunday Made?

We’re excited to be adding several more items to the collection, including mirrors and small home items. So I’m looking forward to developing our website to create space for these, and sharing them with our customers.
