Who doesn’t love a winter weekend away? I (Hannah) recently popped down to the South Island, travelling from Nelson to Christchurch via Greymouth, stopping for two nights at an isolated and idyllic Airbnb in Woodpecker Bay. Without power or cell phone reception it was the ultimate way to unwind.

We then travelled to Christchurch on the TranzAlpine train. This was such a great way to see landscape you might not be able to view otherwise, and it always feels fun to be a tourist in your own country.

We had such a magical time soaking up everything these beautiful parts of the country had to offer.
